About Mister Lederhosen

Over ons Hi ! My name is Pim,the founder of MisterLederhosen ,and Lederhosen are my passion. I've always been a fan of Lederhosen and the celebrations that go with it,especially Oktoberfest ! I love all the fun and comrady and the sense of joy and community you feel at a Oktoberfest party and how a pair of Lederhosen always reminds you of that. But above all I love how cool and stylish Lederhosen look and how practical and versatile they are,wether I'm riding my bike or sking with friends or just hanging around the house having fun with my kids.

Our Story:

Our story began when Me and a couple of friends went to a German Oktoberfest party and naturally I had to buy a Ledehorsen ! Being a Student in college at the time,I ended up buying what I was told was " Real" "Authentic "Lederhosen at a bargain.It couldnt be further from the truth : it was a plastic knockoff with Leather highlights and accents. Half an evening and many Beers later, my pants were torn, with suspenders hanging on floor and I had lost my new phone because the pocket had a hole! Luckily the night was saved,and ended up finding my phone ,with help of a elderly couple ( who had quite a laugh from it ) , and learnt a valuable lesson,no more cheap knockoff Lederhosen !

The following year. We were going to another Oktoberfest party and this time,I was bound to get a real Lederhosen. Unhappy with the quality of all the lederhosen offered at the stores,I decided to get a custom made Lederhosen made directly from a manufacturer. My lederhosen - made from 100% leather,and beautifully finished with embroidery and staghorn buttons, was a hit at Oktoberfest and I Immediately started getting requests from friends and people at the Party that wanted to buy lederhosen like mine. Eventually I got so many requests that I decided to open a shop and that's when Mister Lederhosen was born. Early on I was Determined to ensure the best quality and authenticity,and decided to only manufacture lederhosen in our own workshop, with experienced craftsmen, to ensure the traditional art of making Lederhosen was preserved and available to everyone.

The shop was quickly a success and became the biggest online Lederhosen shop in Holland (We even made the news!) and one the biggest shops online. I found myself part of a growing community of passionate Lederhosen fans who wear and celebrate their Lederhosen,not just as a traditional costume,but as part of their modern wardrobe and everyday use. Now we have loyal customers all around the world and expanded our line to include other Traditional items,such as Bavarian Shirts,Socks and Shoes,Jackets and even Hats.Our mission and passion is to bring the traditional art of fine Traditional Trachten couture to everyone online.
